Take Back Control and Transform your Life
Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy Tailored to your Needs. Helping you Navigate Life’s Challenges
How therapy can help you
People seek therapy for a range of reasons, from life changing events and trauma, to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional regulation, and low self -esteem. Sometimes functioning day- to- day can be a struggle, and you may feel overwhelmed by emotions, thoughts, and feelings. You might want to understand yourself better, along with some of your actions and behaviours when you are distressed, and how best to manage them.
You may have difficulty accepting and validating yourself or you may be searching for purpose in life, this is where therapy can help you gain clarity, perspective, and direction. It can also assist in improving relationships with yourself and others, and help you acknowledge and tackle issues rooted in the past which can prevent you from leading a meaningful life in the present.
You don’t have to go it alone
At times it can feel as though no one really understands you or listens with genuine care or concern. This can leave you feeling isolated and disconnected from the people and world around you.
This is where confidential, face- to -face, in -person professional help, support, and guidance in a safe space could be the answer.
This process involves becoming aware of how you think about yourself and others, your past experiences, present situation, and future hopes. I can help you understand how your outlook, beliefs, thoughts and emotions impact on your actions and what you can do to bring about positive change and healing.
Your therapeutic relationship and collaboration with your therapist will help you along this journey, and enable you to grow and develop as a person.
It’s okay to ask for help
Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Realising that you need help and choosing to do something about it shows self- awareness, and self -knowledge, and determination. Therapy offers you the opportunity to work through difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions in a safe, supportive environment.
We can work collaboratively to explore your unique experiences and help you take back control of your life, so it doesn’t feel as though life is just ‘happening’ to you. Whether you’re seeking healing, purpose, or personal growth, I’m here to support and guide you at your own pace.
I believe we should be able to speak openly about mental health and emotional and psychological wellbeing, just as we do about physical health. It is okay to seek help from a professionally trained and registered therapist who will listen to you and respect you, without making judgement.
Every individual’s experience is unique and valid, and I view my clients with an open mind, respecting their personal set of life experiences, beliefs, and outlook. This is an important aspect of the therapy process and therapeutic relationship.
The therapeutic relationship, based on trust, empathy, and undertanding, can be a powerful tool for change. My aim is to help you to grow and thrive, empowering you to become the best version of yourself. Therapy with me is about moving beyond merely surviving- it’s about thriving.
This process can help you accept and affirm all parts of yourself with compassion, along with any past significant life events you have experienced, and help bring about positive, lasting change.
Therapy is a dynamic process in which I can help you work through difficult experiences by providing you with a private, safe, and secure space in which to openly explore and understand them. My role is to facilitate you to take an active role in this process at a pace that you’re comfortable with.
